Fair play to the young Wigan lads, all stood watching on clapping the Charlton boys collecting the trophy.

Very proud of these lads. Ed predicted 2-0 last night - but will forgive him one small mistake. Fantastic performance. As Tel is saying, how on earth do you choose a MoM?
I have a soft spot for players bombing down the wing, so obviously Tagoe caught my eye, but Richman and Valentine's partnership up the right was very impressive too. Burnham and MacMillan showed great persistence, and Thomas was tidy. Very enjoyable game.

A cracking evening's entertainment. We really do have a team to be proud of. Tremendously skilled players who play the game at pace and who aren't afraid to go on the attack. Proper entertaining football. I look forward to the day when we see some of these play in the first team. Well done all!

Fantastic result and some lovely play against a big but technically limited Wigan team.

Brilliant evening, smashing atmosphere and some exceptional football with huge potential. Though relieved when we got the second. Club can be very proud and equally proud of our club

What a great night. As I have a freedom pass and a season ticket, cost me just the price of a few drinks! Great entertainment.

    Just like watching Brazil !

Absolutely fabulous  football from our Young Guns ! What a performance !

SO calm & confident on the ball and hoofing it is clearly not on their agenda. How refreshing us that  :)

I am so very proud tonight as will be Jason Pearce & as should be all Addicks out there.

Quite an emotional sporting day for us following an unexpected run fest from our brave Kentish boys against the League leaders at Beckenham. And enhanced by the frustration of Ben Stokes especially when one of his overs went for 13.....although he did congratulate our teenage opening batter at stumps on his magnificent innings.

    Onwards & upwards !

Ezenwata is 16, sixteen, six bloody teen. I believe he has played every game for the U18's this season (last season now).
His older brother was snaffled from us by, guess who, Chelsea.
To me and Pico of this parish (happy birthday today R by the way) he reminds us of Konsa, Gomez, and Elewere.
    Sixteen.

The cockiness our players have is unmatched! They play with a proper freedom and a swagger, like they know they're better than other teams and they go out and prove it

100% that is what watching this game demonstrated for me. Not cockiness in a bad way but playing without fear going forward taking players on not afraid to lose the ball and when that did happen a team mate was there to recover the ball. It’s so refreshing to watch and entertaining but that’s what youth football is like. Hopefully we can keep hold of some of this group and the develop into first team regulars

Great performance by the boys. Really enjoyed it. Well done also to Jason Pearce and everybody connected with the academy setup.

Do the youngsters have the privilege of running out to Red, Red Robin?
No they don’t play anything when the teams come out although they played RRR after the presentation and fireworks 😊

He’s not even one of the oldest in his year group, he turned 16 only 2 months ago.

They played some dirge league theme when the teams came out tonight. Great to hear RRR at the end though.

It was deemed to be a neutral venue hence no  "In to the Valley" or RRR at the start of the game.
  • Impressed with Washington Amoah, Tahoe, Raymon and Enezewata in particular. All look to have first team potential. Burnham also no slouch and nearly scored a great goal

At least it wasn’t at somewhere midway between the two, like St Andrew’s, and we probably wouldn’t have filled Wembley.

Lovely result... Especially as there have been so many occasions in the last few years where our U18s haven't quite managed to get over this final line... Massive achievement, and congratulations to the club and the kids.

I cannot believe what I have seen, the quality of football from these lads was just sensational One touch passes ,ball control ,running with the ball, defending everything was just a pleasure to watch.I pray we can keep this team together and watch some of them develop in to top class players, think I might watch these next year instead of the 1st team
