Sorry, the rumours thread is only for wish lists, not actual rumours.

Would make sense as a target , got some decent Champ experience with Birmingham a couple of seasons ago.

... we (Charlton) were in for one of their former players Emmanuel Longelo.

... thought it was worth passing on.
Good work!  Now move on to the next stage.  Find out what Linda Longelo is saying on X.

Notts County playing today so brace yourself for the Iorpenda post
Gisappointed is warming his fingers up as we speak. I'm sure he'll say we should resign Lucas Ness as well
Can I be first to rehash an old joke and say he's be a monster signing.

And passes the CL height test. 25 years old so has both experience and a potential resale possibilities.

    This thread is genuinely diabolical.

It's always bad, but this is right up there. 79 pages of utter bollocks.
    We’ve barely got started mate
I am so ready. What I have learned is that you either get annoyed by all the bullshit or become an active part of creating it, there is no inbetween. Might update my 'is Darren Pratley in the top half of our midfielders in the last 15 years' chart on here just to really get things going
Darren Pratley wins the "how to deal with a Sunderland player who's pissing about with not giving the ball back" award.

Simon Church. And don’t give me that he played a load of games - that goes against him as he had ample chance to not be absolutely awful.
No way. Played for us in the Championship for starters which puts him miles ahead of some of the true L1 dross we had but also as much as he was nowhere near good enough he had his moments. Rescued a point for us against Barnsley, scored in that rearranged Doncaster game that was hugely important to our survival, got an important winner against Blackburn, got the assist for Jackson's last minute equaliser against Ipswich on New Year's Day and was actually a big part of our run to the FA Cup quarter finals; two assists against Oxford in the 3rd round and then got the winners against Huddersfield and then Sheff Weds to take us to within a game of Wembley before Duchatalet made a hash of it all. We stayed up by 7 points that season so he was undeniably a factor in that side miraculously not going down. Yes we would have liked to have had a better player but given that we spent £0 on players that summer bringing in 4 frees and 2 loans I'd say his contribution was actually outsized compared to his ability. He's not even in the conversation for worst player. He was basically a better Dave Mooney so you've got to have a look at Mooney before him anyway.
Apart from that, what has Simon Church ever done for us…😉

Anyone got that pic of David Mooney when he hit his head and it came up like an egg?

Has a brother Rosaire we could sign as a backup. The new Sodjes?

Realistically, who do we think we can shift out of the door to make way for incomings?

Depends on the signings, if they're of a high enough calibre then presumably we can replace anyone in the squad, besides Jones is anyone irreplaceable?

A.Mitchell, Macca, JRC/Doc/Cov (can pick), Apter, Tanto, And then any of the youngsters I think are very easily moveable on perms/loans depending what offers we get and what we want to do.

Kaminski, Burke and Ahadme I can see us wanting to move on but wages=quality would make it difficult to do so.

Ramsay and TC could be sold w one years left on their deals.

I think most of the shifting out will happen after we’ve bought players in. Alex Mitchell we can probably do a deal early for, but the rest will probably be more of a waiting game where we drop our demands throughout the summer until we can find a willing taker

Will be interesting to see how Jones manages this. You don’t want to end up training with a squad of 30+ players as it makes it quite difficult.  We could even end up with a “bomb squad” of players we don’t want training separately from the main group

Genuine left field rumour time. Visiting my mum in hospital today and picked up a drink from Costa on my way out.

Two blokes in West Ham training kit were chatting in the queue in front of me and mentioned that we (Charlton) were in for one of their former players Emmanuel Longelo.

Left back currently at Motherwell. Looks to have a year left on his contract.

No idea whether it was idle gossip or whether they were ITK, but thought it was worth passing on.
As I was reading this, I was hoping you were going to end it with who they thought was our worst ever player

Have we ever had an Emmanuel play for us before ?

We’ve had little to zero mention of Kaheim Dixon on these threads of late. Anyone got any news, updates or thoughts on his Charlton future or otherwise ?

Looking at his career stats it doesn't scream like a signing we want to make as a first choice left back.

Hoping that this doesn't mean Edwards is out for even the start of next season.

Now we are relying on west ham fans who are fake ITKs?  What happened to all our own fake ITKs

I think there will be a mix of perm and loan outgoings, the loans in cases where it less likely we can find permanent homes too easily. Where the loans end up will be a fair indicator of the players’ ‘level’ though that said the more talented younger kids loaned would likely start at National League or League Two.

I’d be surprised if Anderson is allowed to move permanently. He will hopefully do a full year in league 1 and then be ready for us in the championship if all goes well. I think the same is probably true with Asiimwe

Kanu is more likely to move permanently due to his contract situation. I think he will either be in our first team squad or he will be sold. If I was him I wouldn’t be signing a new contract just to go out on loan again

He’s just had a full season in a Motherwell side who looked very decent, certainly in the games after the split that I saw against Rangers, Hearts & Celtic. He also scored 9 goals from left back, so obviously likes getting forward.  I want Josh back fully fit, but we can’t rely on one player per position and can see both playing, as Longelo looks like he could play further upfield with Josh behind.

Transfermarkt suggests €1.5m valuation, but Motherwell have an option on top of the year left on his contract.
