Girls – I need your help. A few weeks ago I (foolishly?) sent the email to AFKA saying yes to the CL Charity Match. I’m over 40, a little bit overweight and definitely not very fit. I play football once a year on the beach at a summer party. But the call of the turf at The Valley, plus the chance to raise a few £££ for charity, was difficult to resist at the time.
But I really don’t want to be the only female out there among all the blokes on this board. In fact, that might even make me wimp out. So I need your moral support. Actually, I need more than that. I need your physical presence, out there, with me, on The Valley pitch. I’m sure it can be arranged that we’re just on for 10 or 15 minutes. You’ll probably only have to touch the ball once or twice. (The blokes might not pass to us that much!) It’s a once in a lifetime chance, and will be much more fun with a few of us.
Will you? Please.

Brilliant!! That sounds like all three of you are on for it - and haven't heard from Curb_It yet. I'm sure we can negotiate with AFKA to make it a brief cameo, find ourselves some natty leggings instead of shorts, and keep the cameramen under control. Safety in numbers!!!0
