Good or bad thing? I guess it is momentum vs preparation/clearing up injuries.

The fact that Thatcher and co have two weeks to get back is a big plus surely?

Newcastle aren't involved in the FA Cup next weekend but have UEFA cup this week and next.

Getting Thatcher back is key and a few others, I agree - just wondering if a two week wait lets doubts creep in or lets any pumped up feeling fade a little.

Here's hoping for Extra time and penalties on the Thursday before the game for Newcastle

good in that Thatch, Boogy, Bent and HH can regain full fitness. If so Thatcher, Boogy, Bent and possibly HH should walk back into team. v Newcastle :

    Carson
    Young Boogy HH Thatcher
    Ambrose Song Holland Thomas/ZZ
    Bent x2

I'd go along with that line up Large. El Kak can warm the bench but only if Diawara is unavailable. (I bet he still practices those ridiculous overhead kicks with a balloon in his bedroom)

I think on the face of it, it's a good thing, get the injured players back.

On the bad side the move to the sunday is a pain in the backside as i probably won't be able to go! :-((

The Sunday thing is a good point - we have to get a seriously passionate atmosphere going. Saturday 3pm would be so much better.

It is good because we need to be at full strength ... but it's frustrating, with us all keen and raring to go, that we only have one game in the next four weeks .... can't we play Man City this coming weekend?!

We haven't got one of those silly "he can't play against us once you've signed him" things with Thatcher/City have we?

Elk is our Ferdinand (more skilled ball player), he needs someone solid next to him i.e. not Fortune..

Most probably written into the sale contract but officially it does only apply to loans

The great thing was the comeback on Saturday. If we had lost, these two weeks would be a difficult time for the players. The belief created/maintained by that second half performance will keep things ticking over nicely. Pards and Parky will keep them on their toes and I'm pretty sure Thatch and Big Bent will be fit again. A good break in my opinion.
