Who scored Ipswich's first goal last night?

Non other than our friend Francis Jeffers. Farmed out by Hughes (the umpteenth manager to give him a chance) as he's clearly behind McCarthy and Nonda in the pecking order and as we know hardly 'fights' for his place, more like moans for it. Wouldn't be surprised if he went down a division (or two) in the Summer.

absolute waste of a talent, that Villa home game when he played for us and scored twice showed just how good he could've been...

At some stage he is just going to have to accept he isn't premiership quality anymore and just get back to playing regular football. Otherwise he'll only look back knowing he completely wasted a career.

Look at Lisbie, 90% of his career has been made making substitute appearances. How much more would he of enjoyed his career if he took a step lower, earned a slightly lower wage but was playing regularly and scoring goals ? Earning the right to be a key player in a side.

Might not have as much money when he retires, but would have a damn sight more recollections and pride.

Depends what you want out of football? To be part of something successful in a lower league or take Premiership wages and play only 30 minutes a month of football?

    Jeffers 24, Peters 41, Lee 49, de Vos 62, Haynes 81

So what if Jeffers scored for Ipswich last night ..... so did Peters and Lee!

Have we ever had a musical (or other) double act named players score, or even play, for us?

Flanagan and Allen played for us, but at different times.

The defence has often resembled a comedy act...
