He wasn't playing, walked across the pitch before the start in front of us, big "Chrissy Powell" chant which he acknowledged. Then we started a WOOOOOoooooooooooooooH! And he obliged with a jump in the air. Typically he turned around as he jumped to involve the whole crowd. Blew a kiss to our stand. Top man. Hope he comes back in some capacity one day.0

i remember going to villa park to see sir chris make his england debut , it brought a tear to my eye, i was so proud an addick playing for england!!0 -
i went to anfield to watch him play against "jj's" finland, felt v proud that day too!0

The bloke is a legend - we should never have let him go to either to West Ham or Watford. I know he wanted to keep playing, but he should have been pushed in the direction of coaching, possiblly groomed for management. What an asset he would have been. I too hope we can get him back - he loves this club and its supporters with a passion.
Come on Pards - get him back on the staff at the end of the season!!! We need people like him at this club.0 -
