Are they transferrable in case of death/injury/moving away from the area etc ?

And not as though we haven't done long term STs before. Good offer if you have the spare cash IMHO.

Don't know official answer but someone else could always use it as people do with spare STs.

I like this, good incentive. Anybody going for the 5 year deal?

five year deal very tempting, will have to have a word with the missus. I assume that if we are taken over during that period the Club will ensure that this offer is adhered to ?

like the look of the 5 year deal to be honest, other than that it's a good offer. If we did go up I presume the North Upper would see somewhere between a £30-£50 rise in a ST next season

    From the OS

"If promotion is secured, adult and senior/U21 prices will then rise to at least the 2008/09 Championship rates and, in the case of the lower north stand, by at least the equivalent margin of £50 for adults and £30 for seniors/U21s. No decision has been made regarding U18s.

One thing it does suggest is that nothing is imminent by way of takeover

I dunno - they have to carry on as if a takeover would not be happening regardless in my opinion.

Can't just sit around not making decisions hopeful of a takeover (or even if one is in the pipeline).
  • Good to see the return of the VIPs. I don't quite follow the boardroom invite though, do you get the chance to sit with the directors a few times a season?

I would guess it means just the once during the 5 years.

I will be getting the 5 year deal.

If you fancy putting it on a credit card - then if we should plummet into administration it will be covered by the CC Company. And if you are very clever (smiley winky thing) you buy it on your Barclays Premier Football Card and the £2k is interest free FOR LIFE.

Does my Barclays Premier Football Card that I got 3 years ago still count then? Don't think i've used it since.

If nothing is happening, then I suppose the extra £1m in the kitty will come in handy over the summer.

At least we haven't mortgaged our big screen yet!

I thought that - but I also read that we are not going to sell anyone any time soon (ie in this window)

Seeing as my ticket is a present from Dad I think it might be a bit of a piss take at this stage......bt if you don't ask.......

I've used mine ever since they began the offer about 7 years ago - including buying my boys ST. It gets put away in the sock drawer and never used for anything else but the ST purchase. I just pay off £50 a month every month so it doesn't become a burden should times get hard - I owe about £900 on it at present.

If you spend £2k on your ST, then it will cost you less than £35 a month over the 5 years.

Isn't this 5 year route a little worrying as if no investment is found then and all the season ticket money is gone then what will income will be getting during the next 5 years?

    Only 500 people though.

We are currently no longer accepting applications for Barclaycard Football Credit Card.

I thought that was too good to be true.

I guess they are hoping that the fans forget about the offer!
  • Just spoken to Ravi at the Club concerning another issue and he said there has been loads of interest in the scheme already.

Suggested that anyone likely to commit to it should call him with their membership number/details and those on the list will be contacted early next month.

If people tell us they are interested we will make a note, but in practice everyone will receive the offer at the same time as part of their season-ticket pack. If we reach 500 any selection required will be based on the timing of paid applications received and there is no advantage to the applicant in telling the club you are interested now - although obviously we are pleased by the positive feedback on the offer.

Can you do the 5 year ST on a payment plan?

I'd stump up if I could do it over 10 months for example.

I believe so. You'll also be able to buy seasonal hospitality on a payment plan.
