MISCELLANEOUS STATS

Charlton have conceded a goal in the 15-min period at the start of the 2nd half in four of the last five fixtures.

Having scored 13 goals in the opening 20 league games in the period between 16-30 minutes, Charlton have not scored in this period in the last 7 games.

As an example of the fall in average ratings, Kelly Youga has seen his average rating rise from 9th to 4th since he has been sidelined.

The average score for the Orient game was the highest rating score for a defeat this season.

42% possession on Monday was the lowest possession percentage recorded by Charlton this season (including the 9-men against Swindon)

11 shots off target was the highest of the season, either for Charlton or our opponents (ave CAFC off target - 5.85, Oppo - 4.59)

Saturday's opponents Tranmere are unbeaten in the last five games, last defeated on Dec 12th by Soton. However, they have failed to score a goal however in 9 of their 13 away games.

That shots off target stat says it all : - (

    Great stats as ever.

stands out for me. our ball retention (whether hoofing it 60 yards or shooting from all angles) was absolutely woeful.
  • at home v orient a chance to go joint top and conceding that much possession to the 'O's ....shocking..

This one is alarming. Last season we were absolutely dire after the restart - that trend needs to stop ASAFP

    a few more stats:

The defeat to Orient was Charlton's first 1-0 defeat at The Valley since hosting QPR in October 2007 - Charlton then went on to win the next four games without conceding a single goal.

From the last 9 games, Leeds and Tranmere have identical records (W4 D3 L2) and 15 points. Charlton have 18 points, Colchester 19, Swindon 22 and Norwich 25.

Tranmere have gained just a single point from the 15 games where they conceded the first goal.

This was the first time Charlton have lost to a team in the league this season without the initials CUFC.

Exactly that. Sam really needs to sort out Mooney and Burton's finishing and decision making.

The Football League site has Sam down on 8 assists. Only two players have more, McGovern at Swindon and Hoolahan at Norwich, Welsh at Yeovil also has 8.

We're the only club with four players in the assist chart on there, Burton has 7, Basey and Shelvey both have 5. Leeds best is Snodgrass on 5.

    AFKA's stats are wrong.

    OFFICIAL.

    ;o)
  • Richardson MOM when he was directly responsible for poor marking which led to the goal ? - it seems we mark our defenders for their attacking rather than their defending!
