many years ago my name sake who wrote Henry Irving's 5th Column coined the nickname The Spanners for our neighbours.

Now I feel it is time to re-name our brethren from Surrey.

They call us pikeys and clowns so they can be the Beggers.

(and yes I know so no need to bring up the scottish link)

    Baggers ?
  • As in the receivers are going to be there a long time.

There's not a lot of spare money floating around in football at the moment for teams outside the Prem. We've been up for sale for a good two seasons, Jordan said that he wanted to sell Palace from the time of the Bostock decision and couldn't get decent money for Moses to forestall the creditors and I can't see any takers for a team just above the CCC relegation zone that are selling their best players and may yet get relegated and have a dump for a ground. Unless they get lucky/sell CPFC off very cheaply I think they had better get used to Selhurst Park.
