    Are we trying to beat Chelski's record for the most players out on loan?

    If they are not in first team contention they may as well gain experience elsewhere.

    The standard is higher than reserve team football and presumably we monitor their progress to see if they are likely to make it at a higher level.

    Having loaned Walker out to Orient in league 1 and from what i gather he did pretty well, i would've thought we'd have been looking at getting him a championship side or at worst a top half league 1 team.
    Notts County are mid table in league 2, can't see that helping the player much or indeed us if we want to see if he can cut it in the championship if we go down.

    True but I guess somewhere is better than nowhere. Playing in the stiffs won't do him much good.

    Recent evidence would suggest that our stiffs are on a par with Gravesend and Northfleet.

    Notts County is probably a better option than that.
