    All the way to Tun Wells as well! I'm sure Charlton would get a few more STH's ;-D

    Interestingly the 'main' reason (though not the only one) why the underground system was not developed south of the river is because of the numerous underground streams and rivers they would have had to encounter.............plus the unsuitablity of much of the soil.
    This was a huge technical problem back in those days....frustratingly now we have the technical know how to overcome these issues we find ourselves lacking the funds!!

    Wasn't there a plan to build a tram line along the Woolwich road? I remember reading about it a couple of years ago.
