[quote][cite]Posted By: valleyman[/cite]Only us & Norwich win in the top 7. Very good day for the Addicks and back to within 2 points of Leeds (albeit they have a game in hand).[/quote]

Great stuff, hopefully Brighton will put in a performance on monday at Colchester and Tranmere will continue the way they have been playing today on tuesday at home to Leeds.

[cite]Posted By: Thommo[/cite]Whoever is doing the reporting for the press association is having a laugh surely, the time it takes to see a penalty given, taken and scored how can they get both the player and the team wrong.

Love to see the faces of the Saints fans sitting at home and suddenly realising they are losing and not winning though.

Even funnier, Papa Waigo was supposed to have scored the penalty for Southampton in the 85th minute - but he was actually subbed off in the 82nd minute, so not even on the pitch.

Defies belief they fecked it up so badly!

News Shopper write up seems to suggest Reid was our main man today.

Akpo scored in 3 consecutive matches ..... not bad, at all!

5 for Charlton this season, now.

OS: "Mooney headed a corner from the left wide and the hosts had strong penalty claims turned down on 43 minutes after a Reid cross clearly struck the arm of Mathew Sadler."

Ball to arm is NOT a penalty ........!

Arm to ball: a player has to first move his arm for a handball offence to occur - even in self-protection.
In that instance the referee should award a penalty.

But if his arm is stationary as the ball strikes it, as appears from the above OS quote, then it is not handball, and not a penalty
