not really mate you have a view, but even when spurs are crap they play it the right way, bent is quality, but spurs prefer defoe types who can do a job from the midfield onwards to the frontline.

he should have run to the barrow boy Rednap and laughed in his face.
  • Please let that be the result that keeps the jowly faced, misery mongering, excuse merchant out of the Champions League.

In fairness, Redknapp's Mrs would have buried those two penalties.

Those two pens would've put the spuds level with Man City on goal difference and behind them on points.

Notice on MOTD, no comments from Harry, was looking forward to the spin he would put on the Bent situation. Loved Bents celebrations though, serves Spurs fans right for preferring Defoe!

Way to go, Benty. and a classy interview on MOTD. I'm sure you really do hope they still finish fourth ;-)

One of the reasons I don't get too engrossed with watching The Prem nowadays is simply because it grieves me to see all those players that once wore Addicks shirts performing at the highest level........it's very very hard to take at times.
Not that I begrudge them that is.

Man up - it's good to see the likes of Dazza doing well. love the guy and Redknapps eating a bit of humble pie currently.

Altho the likes of Defoe, Spotty Karper... ergh, don't go there.

I must admit that I still love Benty too. He should go to the World Cup but probably won't. I can't really fathom why even the so called expert pundits don't seem to rate him. Capello will probably take Heskey ahead of Darran and that is a joke. I can't wait for Benty to make his first return to The Valley, I reckon the reception he'd get would be something else. If he scored I'd stand and applaud. And as for Spurs fans, can't stand 'em. Delusions of grandeur or what. On a Monday at work they are the most insufferable fans you come across. Going to give it to them on Tuesday, cheers Benty !!

Been wanting him to come back to The Valley for ages as well and I believe also that he would get a terrific reception from us just hope he wouldn't celebrate scoring against us lol

Am i the only person that noticed after he scored his first. He ran toward the Spurs fans to point out the fact (and why not?) and was rewarded by something being thrown at him. Possibly liquid but whatever, it hit him on the head.
Not a mention of it on MOTD or in the press !!!!

Always gave everything and always gave the impression of being a really likeable bloke off the pitch. Always seems to get a rough ride from the press in terms of England recognition despite the number of premiership goals he has scored in the last 5 seasons.
