Unfortunately that four lettered word 'work' had me by the short and curlies...

Plus the fact I live in Sunderland so popping down to the Royal Oak for a warm light and bitter is a luxury I can rarely afford..

Well I've not seen the pub as packed as much before or after a game since i dont know when (friday night palace game).

I suppose the rain after didnt help but that was just too busy afterwards and got quite scary for the kids in there. Its nice to see it so packed but not so nice when after 2pm you cant get a drink. Missing the Horse i suppose for when we get crowds like that. Good to have a buzz back in the old place tho.

Just clearing up a few misunderstandings from Saturday as i fecked up a few plans!! sorry folks.

It was absolutely packed, got fed up waiting so walked to the offy on the corner, bought a couple of bottles, walked back and stood outside. I certainly wasn't the only one doing that.
  • Had a nice pint of Hobgoblin and a few others.
Served well and I didnt have to wait long.
    Good day all round

I was in Bartrams trying to fathom out what the score was in the Southampton/Plymouth game because of the Two Bob screen they have in there!
