Wonder if that's why Fry played in an under18 game in midweek? Match practice because Warnock wants GB back at Loftus Road.

I think Damion Stewart suffered a cracked skull against Palace, so they might need Borrowdale back. Would be a blow to lose him, he's been steadily improving.

yeah it would be a blow, he has looked pretty solid. granted he's not too quick or much of an attacking threat but does the job well, prefer if he stayed rather then an untested versatile defender although you never know could work? previous signings there done ok, Jackson & Borrowdale so lets hope thats the case

Sure I read that they would talk to QPR yesterday, will probably find out today. If not Fry will play.

    from the OS this morning,
"Gary Borrowdale started the last game of his month-long loan from Queens Park Rangers. Parkinson was due to discuss with QPR whether the loan would be extended towards the end of the week."

I thought he was poor on his début but has been very good ever since. Extend the loan please Mr. Parkinson.

  • very big loss imo! even though solly is a good player and ive heard fry has potential, id rather an experienced left back with a left foot.

Apparently Warnock wants Borrowdale back to run the rule over him so it looks like he may have played his last game, which is a shame.
  • Gary Borrowdale looks set to return to QPR following the end of his month-long loan spell at Charlton.
The left-back has made six appearances since arriving at The Valley a month ago and the Addicks are keen to extend his stay. However, Rangers boss Neil Warnock wants to run the rule over him.
"I've yet to have a look at Gary and I want to see him before the end of the season," said Warnock.
Borrowdale made the final appearance of his Addicks spell in Tuesday night's win over Colchester.

    Bugger!!

guess it means solly will be back at LB, which I have no problem with but he's now borrowdale, also now means reid wont be starting out wide left as has no defensive mentality, Baily out wide it is then,

or poss play bailey LB and reid LW??

Why didn't Colin Winker come to The Valley on Tuesday night and watch him there ....???

Why didn't that idiot Parky see this coming?

He knew that Borrowdale could be going back so should have got another left sided defender in on transfer window day.

Must have been a young Prem reserve out there but typical parky there is no plan B.
  • Disappointed in this, thought he was playing really well. As well as being solid defensively his crossing from open play and corners will be missed.

Can't play fry on his debut against the league leaders they will focus on him and could tear us apart, solly has potential but no the left could be a massive problem with the loan windows closed, could we not get an emergancy left back as yougs and basey are out? Don't laugh but maybe stick lera out there? Big tall left back ala herman.. would get away with a few mistakes there and not in the cb area.

No the loan window closed, pretty sure goalkeeper is thenonly emergency signihis club might be allowed to make.

This is why we brought Fry in, he will probably play. He only missed out on the squad because we couldn't have 6 loanees in it.

I'd prefer to play Fry there than Solly.
Fry is a product of West ham's youth team so must have some talent and he played a few games for Gillingham this season so he knows the league.
Solly is a right back so is more likely to be targeted as it's his wrong side.

    Anyone but Solly I'm afraid.

Presumably, it's Fry because that's the reason we loaned him, to play if Borrowdale went back.

He couldn't as we'd have exceeded the number of loans in the squad. Aren't we only allowed 5 at any one time?
