    Free agent, out of contract. Surprised we could not get him to rise to the challenge of the Championship, but maybe its the same as Lisbie, in need of a new challenge.

    good luck to him but he couldn't even make it into a poor Brentford side last season and he was never going to be good enough for the Championship.

    Blimey, as a resident of Southend I might not bother renewing my ST this year. Seems like I'll be able to watch a Charlton side by strolling along to Roots Hall instead. :¬)

    Then there was his match at Arsenal under Pardew .......sent off for apparently denying a goalscoring chance even though he clearly wasn't last man. And the Arsenal player was offside anyway!

    Then the ban was doubled for "frivolous" appeal.
