No away goals rule in the play-offs.

If there was, Leicester would've gone through the other night instead of Cardiff as they scored three away goals to Cardiff's one.

We were lucky to only lose that by a goal we have to score first Monday, but I doubt we will stop them scoring, can we honestly score three times?

Just for the wind up merchants and the visaully impaired:

"The semi-finals of the promotion playoffs in the Football League, despite being two-legged, ceased to employ the away goals rule from 2000. As away goals scored in extra time counted double, the side finishing lower in the league gained an advantage by playing away in the second leg, thus giving them 30 more minutes to score an away goal. The rescinding of the away goals rule has affected the results of several play-off semi-finals."

i think parky should have made changes a bit sooner. and personally i wouldn't have swapped sam for waggy, but rather taken racon off and put reid on the left and put bailey in the middle. and mooney should have come off a lot sooner.

anyway, burton's goal makes all the difference; it's far from over. bring on monday!

So to conclude, Burton's goal was an away goal.
  • Losing may actually work in our favour. It forces Parky to play an attacking formation, and we are far better at home when we attack. If we'd won or drawn he'd have played negatively again.

But apparently it doesn't count because it;s the league one play off semi final ;)

But it only counts as one goal which will probably annoy Buton no end as he was probably hoping to increase his tally by two.

No, away goals do not count in the final tally up, if we win 1-0 on Mon night we do not go through on away goals, it is 2-2 on agg so it will be extra time and pens if needed.

I honestly can't see how this will pan out now, but I just pray for no more heartbreak...

I can see Swindon scoring Mon night so we need to find the net early, poor performance tonight, must do better.

Very poor in the second half, feel very deflated.

I'd like to apologise to all and sundry for bringing up away goals in the first place!

(Although I did laugh at BFR's "Kanu" comment...)
