the county ground is the reason i hate the third division put a roof on the away end and i couldnt give 2 hoots if the rest of it looks like dagenham and redbridge, this isnt because i want too watch footie at the emirates i thought scunny away the other year was one of the best away grounds for ages proper football ground up nth a bit edgy but very industrial i loved it

what i want to know is

is swindon where reading and bristol send their dim witted folk and this is why they aint got a roof no one can flipping build one

The Stratton Bank doesn't have a roof because 1) It was originally an open terrace and 2) we can't get planning permission to build one!!!

The County Ground is gonna be completely rebuilt over the next few years apart from the Don Rogers stand.

Never before has the first goal in a match been so vital. 1 nil to them and were up against it 1 nil to us and its game on.

The Don Rogers stand is the newish stand on the side. Was built in the summer of 1994.

Agreed, problem I have is they look like they've got goals in them and not sure we can out-score them by 2. Still, first goal to us and the crowd will lift and they might start to panic.

If we can match the performance of our last two home games then I think we have a chance as both Leeds and Norwiich have better defences than Swindon, that said the tie is finely balanced and could go to penalties which is my guess.

we were poor, racon was invisble didnt do squat!!! Mooney i felt had a good game but still can see why he was subbed and not burton who didnt play aswell other then the goal then came into it and started holding up the ball well.

in fairness we got away with it ending 2-1 and am still confident we will go through, they played us of the park for monday i would like to see bailey back in the centre and reid on the left, sam didn't have his best game but still put more effort in then racon

On swindon, they played well but we let them! Austin looks a fantastic striker and if they dont go up he will, ward was very skillful and great finish for his goal

All to play for still COYR

I feel sick about monday night, basically if we don't go up we're down here for a long time imo
just hope we can get an atmosphere going as fans straight from the off and not wait till we score or whatever
still can't believe peri's miss at the end there ....
losing 2-1 means we're not out of it obviously but where will the goals come from , if we go thru i think we'll need to do it with penalty's

i see us 60% lose in the play off semi's, 20% lose in the final and 20% win the play offs

I think we become a very different club if we don't go up, but not necessarily down for many years, I eckon a year after admin and anther year after that, so three years, with new owners.

But then we will go up this season, won't we?

Definitely. Put Bailey on the right, Reid on the left, and get Forster up front for Mooney (who for the record I thought was nowhere near as bad on Friday as some people are making out). If Sodje isn't 100% then Llera has to play.

We can do this, come on you reds!

this is such an all or nothing game I feel we ought to start with strongest team tonight - even where we know some of the players may only last an hour. I would rather try to get ahead in the first hour than hold players in reserve for the latter stages - it is a gamble and balancing act of course.

PS Mooney and Akpo had a great postive impact when they came on together against Leeds.

When the club say tickets are on general sale, does that literally mean anyone can buy tickets? A mate of mine is coming along with me will my red card get him in as well?

Reid on the left, Bailey for Racon, Forster for Mooney.

Got to break the no drinking on Monday rule today, quick 5 pints at lunch too nervous.

I can see us winning tonight by a single goal and then it will be down to the lottery of penalties.

I just hope we can find some penetration for once and win by the two clear goals required.

I agree with this. Racon is IMHO lucky to still be in the team - I just think his work ethic stinks. Bailey is always better in the middle and Reid is a far superior left winger. We need to take the game to them.

Please please - no Racon tonight, Parky. We need someone who can actually initiate attacks not fanny around with 'classy' square/back passes.

Whoever PP picks tonight as long as I see that they put in 110% effort I will be proud to be a Charlton supporter. FACT.

    More scape goating?

Racon was the only player in the opposition half to try to track back for the second goal on friday!

By 'track back', do you mean hopelessly attempt to stop the bloke breaking away? If he had any sense he'd have brought him down on halfway and got a booking.
It's not scape goating its common sense, Bailey in the middle, Reid on the left and Racon on the bench will make us a better side.
