Hello to all Charlton fans.

I know that we are playing each other next but I genuinely hope that you avoid relegation.
From discussions I've had with other City fans, I am not alone in wishing you all the best for the run in.

Don't get me wrong, we still need the points ourselves, as we are not safe yet but I think that the dignified way in which Alan Pardew has conducted himself with his dismissal from West Ham and the way he's been doing the job with you says a lot about the man.

Keep it up

cheers Barry, thanks for the kind words.

First City we've had on here, so would be interested in your take on how things have gone for you. Looks like Pearce (and Southgate !) pulled it out for you at just the right time. If that Boro result had gone against you, i really think Pearce would of been outed.

Now you're looking almost there, that Mpenza looks a real handful and has made a difference.

Would be interest in your views.

Very true about the Boro result.

City fans are very much divided on Psycho's ability to take us further than he has done in his first 2 seasons. When all said and done he has been with us for 6 years(player, coach and manager) and to throw that away when he has obviously learned a lot would seem a bit daft but then again football is daft at the best(..and worst)of times.

Mpenza is the boy..........top player and he's not 100% yet. Power, pace and a selfish streak that all strikers need. I wouldnt mind seeing him alongside a proper strike partner.......not one of our other so called front men.

wasn't there a time that we were looking to buy Corradi(sp) before City did ?

what about the Stadium Barry ?

Looks lovely but i was proper disappointed when i went there, its an arena, like so many others nowadays and not a football ground. Maine Rd was one of my favourites, always had that edge and made it a fearful place, but loved going there.

Was moving the right thing to do and how have the City fans taken to it ?

yep, Curbs was very keen on Corradi.

Looks like we had a narrow escape.

Its quite funny that you should mention the stadium cos yesterday I was at St James and the atmosphere was shocking(apart from us of course) which is similar to our place. To give you a bit more of an idea of what City fans think, we still sing "we are super City from Maine rd"

I'm sure if there was a poll(not that shocking ref one) that we would be back at Maine rd now...........only problem is it's a building site now.

A question for you...............Ian Dowie? Good decision to sack or not?

we don't know, none of us know the real reason why he was sacked (wrapped up in legal proceedings, Charlton will say they hope the truth will out one day).

We're generally pretty supportive of our board, they've very rarely let us down, so the vast majority were prepared to give Dowie a chance, and most we're still with him even when we were bottom, despite seeing now that he just wasn't the right fit for us.

But now there is a non-debate, Pardew is ten times the manager Dowie will ever be. Its just a shame that Les Reed had to be used as a stop gap and ruined what was a pretty decent relationship we've had with him.
