Save the robin!

The club announced that the "Red, red robin" song before the game will be replaced by Abba's Waterloo, because “it is vital that in the build up to a home match we have a song that fans can sing and clap along to particularly with the introduction of the new noise-makers at every game”. And why Waterloo? "because Charlton station is on the Waterloo railway line”

I don't know wether to laugh or cry....
We already have noise-makers, what's next? Cheerleaders on the pitch? Popcorn instead of pies?

Or am I too sensitive about tradition?

I agree, Chas and Dave would be far more appropriate. Despite their Tottenham leanings they are East London boys just like our club.

Is there a song called `April Fool'?

If so, I think it would be highly appropriate to use that!

I thought only Gary Line-Aker thought we were an East End club?

Why does no-one sing 'The Red Red Robin?' I think we should all make more of an effort with this.
