Sad news, I lived in Manchester 1987 - 1992, Frank was a much loved part of the music scene up there in those days.0

They guy with the paper mache head? Sad if true thought he was very funny.0

Gutted about this. The man was a comedy institution and created his own hilarious little world that I loved to get a glimpse into.
RIP Frank. The man behind Frank was a great chap, by all accounts. I think that comes across over how he dealt with the news that he had the big C. He will be sorely missed.
I'll have to go on a pilgrimage to Timperley at some point and pay my respects!
P.S Buy his World Cup single - wouldn't it be great if it got to number one?0 -
I liked him.
Saw him live a couple of times at various student nights in the late 80's.
He was a bizarre entertainer before Vic & Bob made it the mainstream.

What does it mean if when you die the only thing people remember you for is wearing a big cardboard head...
Funny bloke, sad end...0 -
I really do hope his family have the humour to have him in an open casket with the head on.0

I learnt two important life lessons from Frank:
1. Space is ace and Betamax is bobbins.
2. The correct way to finish a song is with the phrase "You know it is, It really is"0 -
