    The PL have been trying to get hold of the England team for years. They hate the fact that the FA get all that TV money and sponsorship deals from the England set up and they don't get a look in. That and the FA cup is all the FA have left. If the Premier League get the England team then you might as well just fold up the FA and give all control to the PL. That would be nice and fun for all concerned (if your in the top four that is)
