Trialists at Wimbledon on Saturday ?

Given the numbers in the squad at present, is it realistic to think that we may have a number of trialists on show to make up an XI for each half ?
I know we tried this last pre-season without anything coming of it, but with so many out of contract players this pre-season, it may offer an opportunity to run the rule over a few players.

Wonder if Jon Fortune would get a run out?

It'd be interesting to see if could make the grade.

Jon Fortune has apparantly been spotted training so he may play for 45mins.

Matt Harrold has also been rumoured to be training with us so he may play.

Heard that we're thinking of giving Kerrea Gilbert a trial, right-back just been released by Arsenal. Not sure if he'll feature on Saturday.

We could auction a place on the bench for saturdays game to raise some much needed finance.

Not sure, but i doubt any of them would be playing in the Kent Suburban League, and i dread to think what Ozzy would ask for in return for your registration card !

I don't know who A Trialist is exactly but he is quite prolific in the lower Scottish leagues considering how many times his name comes up as a scorer on Jeff Stelling's Saturday show.

Kerrea Gilbert could be a decent signing, was on at Leicester 2 seasons ago when they won League 1. However not sure if he has really pushed on and may stutter Solly's development.

    Dailly was originally on trial.

I'm sure there will be a few. Had some very random ones last year, against Welling a Spanish (I think) lower league striker, and that Maidstone (again can't remember exactly) right back who seemed to be there because we need a player more than us seriously looking at him.

    What the hell.

    How do you know that?

Ozzy wouldnt command a fee anyway. Hes a bit like a crazy uncle of some sorts. He would support the move!

It used to A.N.Other in bygone days. He played for a lot of clubs.

................. and a few in Ireland that came to nothing. Agree that there is a fair chance there'll be one or two on Saturday.

I remember Harrold playing for Wycombe, I wasn't particularly impressed. Tuna is better surely?

Gilbert + Fortune would be very good signings indeed.
Surely fortune is just training with us to keep up his fitness though?

We're already lumbered with a Dizzy.
So no room for a Dizzle, unfortunately.

    Sorry!

I liked the look of Harrold when he played against us myself...thought he could be nutured into a good striker with the right club.

Trundle would be a great signing imo. Best goals per minute ratio than any other player in the Champ last season too. Sign him up!

Apparently we'll be seeing a Young Spaniard Forward who is on trial Saturday as well as a Dane not sure if he is a centrehalf of midfielder though.

We had a random Spanish striker last season when we played Welling. Do the club find them or are they recommended to us? Because I doubt Parky and his scouts were watching Spanish 3rd or 4th tier games last season.

All I know is that the Spaniard looks the nuts in training according to Club insiders, games are something different though.
