Chris Powell. Could he still do a job?

This season there was havoc in the left back position, a number of players filling it after Youga & Basey both got severe injuries. I'm sure we'd all have Chris Powell back in a flash, but do you think he could still do a job for us? And would it undermine Rob Elliot's new status as our man from the tunnel?

he could barely do a job when he left us (as much as I love him - in a manly way!)

There was 'havoc' in as much as we had to keep changing our left back because they kept getting injured, but none of them actually performed badly. Youga/Basey/Jackson/Borrowdale all did well enough when they played. The only time we really suffered was Millwall away, but I don't want to single out Solly because all our players were terrible that day.

At the end last season, Chris Powell announced he was 'officially' retired.

He's 41 in September, and he's now hung up his boots.

Coaching, then management - is what he's setting himself to do.
And don't forget, he is holding the managerial reins at Leicester right now.

I'm quite happy with my last memory of Sir Chrissy of Powell in a Charlton shirt being him held aloft in front of the Covered End after scoring against Coventry. If Pardew did one good thing as our manager it was bringing him on in that game and giving me that moment. That's how it should of, and did, end.
