With a few of probably some of your players gone,Bailey,Sam,Richardon etc Its gonna be a hard one next season. Im surprised that Bailey went for £1.4m though, probably one transfer you are glad about and Lloyd Sam will probably be a squad player for us and we got him for free. Doherty from Norwich is a good signing for u though.
I just cant see a top 2 finish for you.

well better than goin our of business completly!!

we'll be back, we're only a couple of signings, well a genuine goal scorer away from competing again, (if we're lucky with injuiries/suspensions)

But the league is alot weaker than last season without you guys millwall and norwich, still gonna be a long hard season though

We're not aiming for the top 2. Still need at least 4/5 more signings so the squad should look better by the time we play Bournemouth.

Less top names, but I would bet that we're more of a team this season than last.

Not sure we are we've only signed 3 but they seem to be the right sort of players. with the exception of Richardson the is no one we would really miss. Getting £1.4 for bailey was and excellent deal

I'm feeling a lot more confident than I was a week ago I know that for sure. A LM, a CH, a RB, Basey to sign and three strikers and I'll be happy. Whoops, plus another goalie.

I guess you really need a 20 goal striker too. I agree the league is a lot weaker though this year and the teams coming down wont be much of a threat.

Don't agree with that. Sheff Wed - who knows, made a lot of signings already. Peterborough, not a big name, so don't sound a threat, but were in this league a couple of years ago. Plymouth, not sure what to expect, but shouldn't write them off.

I don't think it's going to be that much weaker really.

And no one to leave of course! Will need another option on the right of midfield as well.

Sheff Wednesday and Southampton will be boss, Peterborough will be strong if they don't lose many players, Huddersfield and Swindon will be threatening as well, will be far from easy.

Will Southampton be boss? I mean really?! They may have money, lots of money. But Pardew is at the helm...

I think our team ( first 11) will be weaker but our squad could actually be stronger

Last year it was unbalanced we had 5 quality cm's who were either shoehorned out of position or not played.

The signing of Jackson in particular excites me.I have followed his career since his Spurs days and as a left footer he gives us something different. If we had signed him last year at the start of the season I think we would have nudged the automatic spot.
  • your weaker too spain boy with Sam

On what basis does having a bunch of not very good players automatically make them more of a team that having a bunch of very good players.

Would you agree that Man U aren't a team or have passion to win?
  • I think with a team full of players experienced at this level we will be very hard to beat. Even with just the players we have at the moment we look a combative and solid team.

If we can add a decent striker we have the beginning of a good side. The thing that excites me most is that I don't think we will be a team who rolls over to anyone. For someone to beat us I think they will have to play well and work incredibly hard.

As for Southampton, they played with no pressure last year. This season, with the tag of favourites, I think they will struggle. We've all seen what happens to team Pardew manages which are meant to be favourites for promotion...

Well given when he took over there was no money and he still put together a team and almost got playoffs despite starting the season with -10 points, yes.

Can't believe I'm going to say this but I don't think we are much weaker. Mccormack will give the Bailey grit to the midfield (that actually, I believe Bailey lost towards the end). Jackson is an improvement at left mid, CM or LB and Doherty is a league winning CB at this level. We do need to sign Sodje, Dailly and Burton back though imo and they make up a huge part of the team.

i'm sorry werent southampton the leagues top spenders last year??!! and the reason you were on -10 is because you cheated to get out of payin money back you lot owed, and that was your punishment, which isnt punishment enough

Southampton were strong last season, have some really good goal scoers and will be getting in some decent players, id fancy them to win it, unless Pardew totally implodes.

He'd probably fuck off from them if he gets a decent club offer in the championship but he did do a fairly good job there last season, as much as I dislike the guy.

To sell millions of pounds worth of players and slash the wage bill without 'looking weaker' would be nigh on impossible. What is pleasing to me is that we're not looking as weak as I thought we would. Some shrewd replacements thus far
