Can i take the two books I have ordered through Amazon into Waterstones tomorrow? Or do they insist on him signing copies you have purchased there?

Just bring em, and put em in headlock if they challenge you!

bring them along, you'll be fine.

you might want to bring some receipt to prove that you already had them when leaving the shop.

Curb_it: If you have a camera, it would be great to see some photos of the event.

Finished it on Friday. Ok if you like a season by season re-telling and a few "ha, ha" stories but no real insight into the man.

Is it right its a concentration of his time as Charlton manager, rather than a life story ?

Not suprised there is little insight, from all the interviews he has done over the years, he rarely gives anything away regarding himself and his life.

Will he still be portrayed in a favourable light by the majority ? Has anyone in particular come out with little credit ?

    Looking forward to reading.

Ps. Welcome BTW, hope you like the site.

Curb_it: If I were you, I'd buy an extra copy or two anyway, and have them signed. Then look to sell it to someone who couldn't get a signed copy. I'd definitely buy it off you, if you can hang on to it until I'm in the UK again.

That's right, nearly 100% Charlton. If anything he is generous to a fault. No one gets a slagging but read the review in the programme on Wednesday. They give me free books and you don't so they get the full works first.

I like the site. I'd like to see more of the articles and video clips etc that will distinguish it from lots of other forums but I know that will take time. Good to see some familiar names (wondered where Curb it and everyone had got to on Netaddicks) but a shame that it's the same nicknames. Would have been better, IMHO, to use real names but I guess that's a personal thing. At least it won't be invaded by other team's fans (Mortain excepted). Good graphics and images and great for me that it has a spell check. Also pleased not to see endless avatars (sp) and smilies.

Oh and the Live, love, laugh and be happy strap line. Where did you ever get that idea?

    Ben,

I definately saw you at the West Ham game but couldnt get down to say hi, there were some scallys (or is it scallies) trying to steal my standing point at the back of the stand, I had a lovely little spot that i was not losing.

I may make Chelsea so maybe I'll see you there. Anyone else notice that Cory Gibbs was sitting in the away end. Row X I think about seat 55?

I sit right in front of the Directors Box, so maybe at home games?

Or are you "keeping it real"?

    "Keeping it real" of course.

I'll still be sitting with the riff-raff sorry real fans. Partly through choice as that's where my family and friends sit and also cos as part of the severance deals Curbs, Keith and Merv still get directors' box tickets which means that don't have enough to go round. Loads of space at Boro away I'm told!

Fancy resurrecting an old thread like that. Here's me thinking, Curbs has got a new book out? But he's done nothing in the past couple of years!
