Taunton / Bridgwater

Just trying to sort out a place to go out for the night in the area of Taunton / Bridgwater, does anyone know if these places have got a decent nightlife, good pubs really, are there any towns close by that are better?

    This is about 6-7 years ago ,I went out in Taunton. It was a good laugh but the local gents weren't particularly keen on us London "gangsters" coming down chatting up their lady folk. Those said lady folk were more keen though. Also it seems that if you're over 22 and you're not pregnant/married then you're a social outcast!
