I see that Brentford have signed another striker today Simpson from Huddersfield following Alexander from Millwall and Forster from Brighton. Does this mean that Charlie Mac is now surplus to requirements at Griffin Park and could be heading back to the Valley. Pure speculation on my part but could be the small nippy goalscorer that we need.

Would like him here as think he would thrive and get the necessary goals, but he was their top scorer last season and signed a new deal just before the end of the season so cannot see them selling. Also would cost too much.

I liked that bloke, seemed a genuine industrious worker, didn't get a long enough run at Charlton...

    Curbs' fault.

    Wishful thinking!

Most clubs at our level try to operate with 4 decent senior strikers in the squad.
I guess Brentford are no different - they'll be trying to improve their stock and get the numbers up.

To be fair he had quite a lot of serious competition in them days, not like now...

He is a decent player and I would have liked to have seen him stay longer but at the time his chances were always going to be limited, he would probably make the first 11 now though! Brentford look like they could be dark horses for the play offs and they finished last season strongly too.

Remember seeing him play (his competitive debut, I think) against QPR in the cup, where he scored. Missed a half chance and bloke behind me bellowed MCDONALD YOW FAKKING SHIT

    Our fans.

I'd take him for sure. Always liked him and he has done well everywhere he has been. He has always spoken highly of Charlton as well.

Would be a great signing but he is Brentford's best player and out of our price range, could see Championship clubs going in for him.

I'd preferred to have got nicky forster cos over a season he'd have nabbed us 15-20 goals imo

Forster would have been ok just wasn't worth a 2 year deal at his age.
