Absolute f***ing pearler today from some bloke about three rows behind me in the West Upper. After the ref missed the umpteenth foul of the second half, this geezer screamed out "are yoo fackin blind?". A bloke next to him said he "might have been unsighted" - whereupon bloke number 1 said "Ee woz right next to 'im. If anyfink, 'is view was too good".
How exactly can you have 'too good a view' of something?

Fug me, you would know Oggy!
There was hardly any bugger sitting near us today. Same level of noise mind you.0 -
My old Dad and his even older mate sit right up in 'Ye Gods' in K block, West Upper.
When I'm up, I'll often sit with my Dad.......well, just because he's my old Dad.
But I hate being so far away from the pitch and the lack of atmosphere.0 -
The view is absolutely fantastic though. Have always preferred the side on view ever since my old East Terrace days. Horses for courses of course, but I have never really got on with the view from behind the goal - although being a bit higher up (i.e. North Upper) makes it a bit easier to get perspective.
I still have to laugh when the covered end goes crazy for an offisde decision when I can clearly see we were miles off!0 -

Agree, Offy......although my Dad sits right up near the back with his mate (you'd soon recognise them - they look like Statler & Waldorf, the 2 old critics in the balcony on the Muppet Show), the view is fantastic, although from up there the players seem like midgets (well, Solly does).
I grew up on the old East Terrace, on the halfway line halfway up.
And if I had to sit in the West Stand I would choose as near to halfway line halfway up as I can get.
The atmosphere is much better, Solly doesn't look quite so tiny ......and the view is still absolutely fantastic.0 -
The view from the West Upper is awesome. I had some right f***ing planks around me in the North Upper last year - haven't got a season ticket any more, so just rock up and sit where I feel like. Wanted a good look at the side today, and you certainly don't get that from the North.0
