i've done my two...i did briefly wonder whether it was tempting fate by doing it this early but feel fairly safe in the knowledge that as i would renew it for next season whether we were premiership or championship charlton's destiny wont be hostage to the timing of my renewal...of course, on the plus side, by renewing early its another positive show of support and staying up all comes down to belief at this stage of the season...machiavellian football logic rules...

If you are going the instalment plan then take a look at the barclaycard deal of interest free on your season ticket,

Not doing it myself but some peeps have said its a good idea, maybe someone who does might like to comment.

I'm renewing mine at the end of the month.

a direct debit form should ask you when you want the money to be debited to your account...

Now, my info is a couple of years out of date, but I used to work for the firm that does the direct debit scheme. Basically, they set-up the first payment at their discretion, but you can give them a call and change the date of the second and subsequent payments.

This will, of course, mean making 2 payments in less than a month because they'll only bring the date forward - they won't put it back.

Most direct debit forms give you the choice of paying on either the 1st or 15th of the month.

Just did it by phone, really helpful they were too.
Wonder if the credit crunch/ mortgages/food prices/petrol/general uncertainty/ will affect the number of renewals.
Is it just me or are there a few less people out on the roads at night and weekends, and out spending generally?
Prob depends where you live and what you do, but reckon there will be a few more nights in with the 2002 squad jigsaw for all of us for a while eh?

I've been doing that ever since the deaal came out. I reckon I'm only just starting to pay for the season before last now. As long as you don't use the card for anything else it's basically an interest free loan for life - rude not to really!
