Have seen the Seagate/Freeagent ones which look good but I'm after a new one for under £30.
100mb+ would be enough (but if not much price difference then I;d probably get a 250mb one)

Any help appreciated thanks!

  • I bought a seagate 1Tb and the USB connection on the hard drive broke, had to buy a new one just to replace the hard drive in the base unit. couldnt be soldered at all.

I was warned they were shit before I bought it but thought I knew best.

From this experience I wouldnt by a Seagate again.

    Hope that helps????

    I got a 500gb HD for about £45 at xmas, from www.ebuyer.co.uk

    Heres a 250gb: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/176797 for example

Mine was a freecom as well and worked brilliantly, until I dropped it down the stairs on saturday..... :'(

I've found Freecom to be very good and you can pick up 500gb ones for well under £100.

I bought a Toshiba, because at the time I used a Tosh laptop. I've had several of their products and have always been very happy with them. The EHD I have is great.

I wouldn't look beyond Western Digital. Top class.
