Anyone know when details are likely to be announced or how long it will take to get there and back?
Need to know what my chances are of getting back to London by 9pm. We are poor and can't afford the plane.

Oooh 9.00pm would be cutting it a bit fine if you ask me. I'd expect an approximate 4 hour journey & depending on what time it left after game. Plus it aint the Harry Potter Express so would have no warp Drive, impulse power only. :-)
  • It does say it'd be a direct train with no stops though. Although i guess you're right it'll be a cattle truck, dry train, going about 30Mph the whole way.

think that was just one carriage.

can't afford the plane either, so on the dry train ourselves too. as long as we're back in central london by 12.30 we're fine.

    hurrah.

I reckon the train will leave at 9.30/10.30 and get back 10.30 ish. thats if it left half 6/7ish

it says fast, but that means no stopping at stations, it might crawl the whole way :-)

  • Boro train was dry. Bottles of water with vodka in all round!
  • yeah chartered trains to football matches have the same law as coaches for booze - not like it ever matters though!
  • does anyone know how many train spots would be available?

how many do you get on a whole train?

we are the train-spotters after all......
