some of u#s don't know you you are born !!

I remember listening to the "old" Charlton Live radio programme in the early nineties and living in Gravesend at the time having to sit half way up the stairs to get a reception - a crackly one at that !!

I think the team know there is a problem. Apparently it's not their fault but they're trying hard to sort it. I can hear fine, tonight, listening through headphones, but it's almost completely inaudible through my laptop speakers.

Ahh, what you need Red is the new IBM Headtop.

The programme is very good but I think would benefit more by being a podcast. I gave up after 20 mins as it was too quiet....

Good show this week. They ended by promising to try and sort the volume issue in time for next weeks show - podcast and phone-in to follow in the next few weeks.

We know there's a problem and we're trying to sort it.

Our main problem is that we've cobbled kit together and it's not necessarily compatible! We hope to have this sorted properly soon, but also hope to have a temporary solution next week as well. It's bloody frustrating!!!!

Trust me, it was distorting when we sent the feed out. We have an idea what the problem is, but engineers need to bang heads together.

Please stick with us, it will get better I promise.

If it's any help the recording should be more audible. Matt will have that by Tuesday, if not sooner, I hope.

I felt so guilty giving up but i couldnt hear a thing.

Especially as i have tinitis in my right ear from KB screaming at me all those years ;-)

Fingers crossed to sorting it asap x

  • Just to update one and all and of course offer yet another groveling apology for the sound last week, fingers crossed cos we've spotted some technical improvements we can make from our side that will allow us to sort the problem we had.

That being the case and barring any unforseen circumstances, we can proudly announce that the one and only Carl Leaburn will be our guest this Sunday.

Additionally our topic for this week is Pre Match rituals and/or superstitions, so if you have any you'd like to share, then let us know.

Credit to Choice who hunted Carlo down. Shame though as he's at a wedding Sunday night.

No news on the Podcast yet guys, we want to make sure that people can hear us properly before we expand. We are talking to the right people though! Hope not too long.

Make sure you put Carl's chair in the right place in case he misses it....

Thank god there was no internet then.

Imagine the Leaburn thread! Would've blown the server....

Entertaining show, sound was fine!, but got the impression I got was that Leaburn would rather talk about Wimbledon and his more famous colleagues than his time at Charlton. . . having to remind him about the play off final said a lot....

As a first time listener I was very impressed, very professional (I'm biased though).

The commentary sounded a lot better than when I've heard it previous years.

Thanks for the comps - Carl is a really nice bloke, down to earth and not like some of the "precious" stars we've had at our club in the past.

Not sure who we've got for next week yet.

Thank god the sound worked as well!
  • is it available to listen to on charlton player now , even though its long finished?

Providing the recording worked, it should be up on the player website later in the week.
