    It wasn't Pardew that took the decision to sell Reid.

    Reids influence on us was in spite of pardew i suspect, the guy couldn't organise a defence to save his life.. but this is way old news.

    It is old news however the sale of Reid was a pivotal point of that season and probably cost us a play off place.

    It's easy for people to to take a blinkered view and slag off Pardew but conveniently forget that possible the biggest mistake that was made under his management wasn't down to him.
  • Good point about the Reid sale not being down to Pards. In our relegation season though, he totally failed to put a balanced squad together - from memory didn't we go into the season with 2 CBs, no left winger, and 8 or 9 central midfielders?

    Pardew is a deluded fool of the highest order. How he continued to gain employment for big money is anybody's guess.
