    my little girl is spending xmas eve and most of the day with her dad, its a tough world aint it, luckily we alternate every year. I used to spend every xmas with my Mum, and then my Dad would come over too - Christmas wasn't much fun I can tell you.. I've only just got back into it some 25 years later.

    I want it too feel like Christmas, the excitment, the buzz around the pubs and shops.... the aussies just dont do xmas, and to bloody hot over here, been here for 17 of them, and I dont think I'll ever get used to it being summer. Bah humbug!

    My local government employer to back track on the following:

    Potential Redundency
    Redployment and downgrade (equal to a 12% pay cut)
    Increasing my hours by 5 per week.
    Taking away the 5 extra days leave I earnt after 12 years service
    Asking me to run a team and provide a "better" service with 5 less staff.
