Sorry to make a new thread, but thought this was pretty big...

TBH I'd love a Wise-Poyet duo

• Could make sense. Didn't someone mention a while back that Poyet lives locally?
• Was told earlier to put your money on Poyet for the job.

Well even more money has been lumped on Wise and only one of them can be manager. Not a chance Poyet is coming here

Curbs has come in from 33/1 to 20/1 on Sky bet but I think that has more to do with hopeful Charlton fans placing bets than any booky inside knowledge.

Poyet Facts:

Son in Charlton Academy
Lives just up the road
Best mate has just bought the club

I think we could be in for a shock here... Wise - Poyet duo
• This may (or may not) suggest someone knows something...

Leaked news of a phone call from Slater to Tony Bloom at Brighton, perhaps?

Will probably take a while to negotiate if true, hence Keith Peacock.

But if we get him, one trusts the capture of Poyet would be good enough to shut up all the moaning we've had today!

Did someone on here say Wise is renting Poyet's house?

I have it on good authority Poyet would have taken the job in 2008 after Pards got the boot but he wasn't even given an interview.

I don't see how Poyet would come here considering the potential brighton have, the squad really is his own, they have a new stadium to move to next season, all looks very stable at the club. I think its unlikely but if he did take the job I'd be very pleased.

I am fairly sure that is because he told the national press that this was the case.

Nobody was given an interview though.

Wouldn't wise have been given the job today if he was their plan? He's not in a job after all.

Manager markets often see moves and drifts for very litle money. I someone had £50 on Gus he would have halved in price, seriously.

He is not going to leave Brighton

Steve Kember?
• Steve Clarke is my hunch.

but it is nailed on to be Scott Minto as we have to have a Charlton connection as we dont know any other way.

•
[cite]Posted By: steveBHA[/cite]Ha ha ha some of you are seriously deluded on here.

Why would Gus leave a club heading for championship football, moving into a new 100 million pound stadium in the summer and a rich chairman backing him?

Poyet has built up a tidy squad here and is fresh from signing a 4 year contract.Sorry you are no Villa or Everton.Think again.
You are so right, everything in football always makes sense.
