I'm not because I haven't got anyone to go with. And it's easier to explain to the missus that I'm going to the pub to watch it on my own rather than I'm going to the game on my own. And before you start all that "you can meet up with us" malarkey, explaining that I'm going with some people I don't know from Adam that I met on the internet is not going to make it any easier.

Curb_It very impressed did not have a clue. I am going through a very de-motivated stage in my life where everything is an effort & cannot be bothered with anything at the moment. I am even considering staying in tonight as the walk to the pub is such an effort!

[cite] Ketman:[/cite]O4_MCS was thinking of driving down to dome & getting tube from there on Monday then finding a pub nearish ground ?

This is a great idea, i will drive there too then, otherwise i will ask you to drop me up the hill to home! Then we can get back by tube, then drive ome!

Of course, but to see a game this day and age the limit has got to be above £20.

    Working
  • My season ticket averages around £19-£20 a game which is a bargain, but for an away game No Way!

Ketman, you deal with the lad Glover.

    Heath Hero i'll deal with.

The plea - Failing to have any friends in life

The most pathetic excuse of the lot ! Ok, so you look a bit funny, but people are a lot more accepting these days. We have known each other for nearly 20 years, that is as strong a bond as you could. Ok, i'll admit we've probably only spoke about 6 times, but the wife doesn't need to know that. You'd be meeting one of your longest-standing friends for a catch up. And the football happens to be on.

    Case Pathetically DISMISSED

Ps. If you wanted to go, could always meet you at Cannon St ?

I will be in Liverpool for my annual conference.

However, I have managed to persuade two Isle of Man lads, two Geordies and a Sweaty to join me for the evening whilst I cheer on the mighty Addicks in some Scouse pub.

I call Len Glover to the Stand, Charge of failing to represent lifelong club in hour of need at Fulham next Monday.
Case for the defense - Working
Case for Prosecution - Any number of reasons as to why work can take a back seat on one Monday evening. Start earlier that day to meet deadline (If any) work next day later instead or indeed any number of other days just not that one. Work harder during day & spend less time on messageboards (Not really fair that one). This really is a one off, boss must surely understand & allow you to leave early enough if proper explanation made.

Verdict - Sorry Len no split decison, hung jury, or anything else....GULITY..!

  • I'll be in my secret south German hideaway, but I'll be wearing my lucky pants and having my usual lucky two or three pints of Guinness.

Yes, but if you factor in the utter pain in the arse that is getting to North Greenwich (from Charlton) it's quicker to get the mainline to Cannon Street and hop on the District Line.

Or you could go by boat ;-)
