sorry weegie i had fat fingers
i would rip your arm off for this0 -
I'm about the only person on here who doesn't know anything, NLA.
That's a new take on my username, btw... ;-)
Just thinking he must be right pee'd off not even to be considered for Ipswich.0 -
My son just said something very interesting to me over dinner - and something which had not occured to me, because I had ruled the name out and the analogy had not occured to me.
What he said was simply this : ''If Dalglish can go back to Liverpool, Dad, why can't Curbishley come back to Charlton?''0 -
Great idea, Weegie. Our version of King Kenny.0

Count me in on this one0
-
get him in as director of football - to mentor Howe0

I suggested this a few days ago in another thread. It makes perfect sense, put him on a big bonus if he gets us up. It could be a win win situation. Gets him back into the spotlight and would really give the club a big boost and a realistic chance of promotion.0

Don't see it. Assuming Curbs overriding ambition is still to manage in the Prem, winning promotion in League 1 adds virtually nothing to his employability. Failing to gain promotion would seriously damage his chances of getting another shot in the Prem, so I'd say it's more of a lose-lose for him.0 -
The only job I can realistically see him getting in the Prem might be Aston Villa but even that would be a long-shot. He might not have done himself any favours taking legal action against West Ham in the eyes of Chairman around the country and I also don't think too many fans apart from us would see him as the manager they'd want to turn a losing club around. He's perceived as a bit boring I think. He also hasn't appeared to have been in the running for many Championship clubs QPR, Ipswich to name a couple.
As said earlier if Dalglish can go back why not Curbs, can't see it happening though, he might have too much pride to drop down to League 1 and not sure our new "owners" are gonna like someone as powerful around the club as he would be. I'd love it to happen though.0 -

Considering he has just been rejected by Ipswich, I wouldn't be surprised if he starting to realise that he isn't going to walk into a job in the Premiership. If he wants to get back into management it will have to be at a lower league club and I can't think of a better fit than us. Unfortunately I think he has been tainted by the compensation claim against the Hammers. We could help him and he could certainly help us.0 -
Was he actually rejected by Ipswich? I know his name was mentioned in the press, but he may well have been not too expensive, not interested etc.0

All this malarky, its been a couple of days ffs.0

I wouldn't be at all disappointed to see Keith Peacock, Ben and Damien in charge of the side for the next few games tbh.0

I think you'll find it's nearly a week. Clearly time doesn't fly in Hull. ;-)0 -
