That Pardew hardly gave any game time too and made him look awful is the 2nd top scorer in the Championship this season - 16 goals I think and he's taking the penalties - could be in the Premiership next year playing with Swansea.
Always felt he had the talent, just needed the right nurturing and spending 4 years at Chelsea not getting a game and being farmed out on loan all the time did him no good either!

I think he reaping rewards for settling down with one club, knowing that he has a long
term career and first team football, rather than being shipped out 3 times a season. Plus he's probably more mature than 2 years ago in footballing terms!0 -
'Nurturing', yes that's something our previous managers, i.e. post Curbs have struggled to comprehend. Yet another player who has left our club and gone onto be a decent player. The list goes on...0
