Just took a listen and remembered what this club can be and what we can achieve when we all pull it together!

My grandparents lived in Delafield Road
Right across from the Valley
And when ever Charlton were playing at home
The sound of the match would carry
As I grew older I went to the ground
And joined in with the singing
I became one voice in a very big sound
It’s so great now that we’re winning
So when Saturday comes
There’s no time for glums
There’s no time for losers at all
And when the Robins sing
It’s a happening thing
There’s no time to take your eye off the ball
Down in the Valley
One Two Three Four Five
It’s in the net
So say goodbye
Down in the Valley where the Robins wait
Drums keep beating
As a new dawn breaks
The team’s in the tunnel
And emotions run high
We’re back in the running
Our dreams are alive
Down in the Valley
With the Mums and Dads
Kids in the red shirts and the woollen hats
The tribe is meeting in the covered stands
This is the passion of the Charlton fans
It’s another great reason why you’d want to be
In south east London with the family
At the end of the day
We’re going to roll up our sleeves
It’s a game of two halves
If you know what we mean
We are over the moon
Or as sick as a pup
And it looks like from here

Written for the Sunderland Play off final I believe - unless I dreamt that.0

It was indeed, can't say its the greatest of songs but the sentiment is there!0

Yup I played and played this on the build up! What a memory0

Loved that song and played it so many times before the play off final!0

Not going to lie, I really like Squeeze, but this song is heinous.0

After the play-off final surrounded by Sunderland coaches this was blasting out with a Charlton flag out the sunroof.
Happy days.0 -
I bought this the day I queued up 5 hours for the Wembley tickets. Great memories....0

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. Bought it on the basis that it might be the only chance I ever got to buy a CAFC Cup Final Song. It's not good though - sounds like the theme tune to a kids tv show! I was expecting more when they said Glen Tilbrook was doing it.0 -

Have to agree. Wouldn't be anywhere near my iPod if there wasn't a Charlton connection.0 -
I love it.
There is no better tailor-made Charlton song
(is there?)0
