Just a great day overall, much better performance and finally a result at home with more then 1 goal. Also of corse the atmosphere was just crazy, I havn't had that much fun in a long time down The Valley. A proud day for us all. It just felt like a breath of fresh air down there today. I can't stop smiling, I actually had a tear of joy driving home today.

I understand some may moan at me for what might be a pointless thread but I just had to show my happyness and hope this lasts for us all :-)

Not pointless at all. I actually thought the atmosphere was flat in the first half but in the second it was much more like it.

The ending with Powell in the tunnel was brilliant. Good to have a happy valley with everyone behind the team again.

Amazing what a bit of patience can do.

Agree that atmosphere a bit flat in 1st half but also sensed some optimism. Knew at half time it wouldn't be 0-0 and once Waggy's goal went in, thought there was a collective sigh of relief.

    Onwards!

Did anyone else have a tear in their eye when Powell came out of the tunnel before the game to the crowd's delight? or was it just me?

Great to see the North upper and lower fuller than it has been for some time. The bouncing looked great. If we continue to build, play some decent passing football, with some quality additions to the squad then the crowds will come back. I was proud of the team and of the club today, and it reminded me of why Charlton is my club. Proud that Chris Powell is our manager.
  • I really needed that yesterday, a very emotional game for me, sang VFR with more passion than usual I did.

Just a great day in Charlton history.

    10 more of those please.
