[quote][cite]Posted By: kingston[/cite]Why on earth do supporters of Southampton & Millwall want to post on this site ?

Go away and play somewhere else !

Do any Charlton fans post on other club's sites ? I cant think of anything more tedious[/quote]

I know a lot of Charlton fans that have a bit of banter on other clubs sites, Saints Fan and SLL are OK, leave em be.

[cite]Posted By: Saints fan[/cite]You offered a piss poor £150k for Puncheon, while £800k+ is certainly overpriced for him £150k is a LOLable offer, one which Cortese took an insult to. We paid £250k for him, I personally think £400k would be a fair price.

£150k is better than no bread.

[quote][cite]Posted By: Cardinal Sin[/cite]Have you had a look at other clubs sites, especially Millwall's? I'm not surprised Sparrows comes on here and he'd probably feel more welcome if people could control their urge to make smart remarks and cheap shots. Banter where it's due and all that. I cringe half the time as you can see what's coming a mile off. As for Saints fan and others, why not as long as they have something to contribute?[/quote]

    SLL always contributes well

Getting the thread back on track then.

Burnley have offered £1.2m for Austin according to the Sun. Thought Swindon turned down a simillar bid from Hull, so Burnley will have to up their offer.

Iwelumo + Austin would be a pretty awesome Championship strikeforce.

If that's true I'd imagine it would need around £1.5+ to get him. A lot of money for someone with 1.5 decent seasons at the 3rd tier. But, he is young, and could turn out to be an excellent long term signing.

We paid £1.1 million for a player who had only scored in the 4th tier!

As long as they make contributions to the site, add good banter and are not just insulting then we should welcome other football fans.
SLL has added positively to a lot of threads, I reckon he wants to be an Addick, but just cant quite drop the spanner...yet! ;o)

I had heard that SLL was nailed on for a S/T down at the Valley to complete his conversion. However he did receive a new socket set for Christmas so will probably see out the season at the Den chucking the contents at opposition players/fans/OB etc...

In the meantime he is welcome on here as far as I am concerned along with the sane Southampton chap.

Perhaps, but with only 4 days of the window left if it was a choice between Ipswich and a relegation battle at Swindon... let's just say it's not a very hard choice

I tend to agree, I'm very surprised that Burnley aren't in for him but hey, that division is so close, who's to say that with a decent run under jewell, ipswich won't be there or thereabouts come may

Two losers with far to much time on their hands pal.
Espcailly that millwall mug. He/she has more posts than most users on here.
What a cracking life to lead!

great couple of signings by Jewell imo

Ipswich dont concede a great deal, they just cant score. They have a couple of games in hand over some teams and you can get 40/1 for them to go up via playoffs.

First time in ages I've not agreed with you NLA.

Natural goalscorer - he'll be in the Premiership in 18 months with Burnley.

    IMHO
  • He is a very good league 1 player but he wont step up to the grade any higher than mid championship. I don't think he has the speed required for prem.

His signing may mean Iwelumo is off, think to Preston. That is a shock as he has scored a fair few for Burnley this season and a very good player at Champ level.

    Swindon to be relegated then.
