    Ollie, my hubby swears by Omeprazole, and you can buy it over the counter (Boots do their own) though like most things it is a bit pricey, but certainly does the trick.

    Seriously, if it has gone on for so long may be worth going back to the docs for further investigation - you've been paying into the NHS for long enough so about time you got something back for your money!
