What is the longest managerial winning run from the day taking charge to the first loss?

  • This one for Charlton. Don't know for anyone else!

    Any idea?
  • Ancelotti won his first eight games for Chelsea last season in all comps, if you are talking recent history in english football that will take some beating I'd imagine [six of eight were league games]

This question - is something you come across, but not easily found on record.
If this is Charlton were talking about. Eddie Firmani, lost a opening game for Charlton, then followed by a nine games (unbeaten) run.
Doubt that this is the answer, as he took charge, sometime within the previous term.
