As Large said, he has been offered other accomodation but for one reason or another (didn't turn up for the viewing etc etc) he hasn't taken them up.

BWP has already sorted out a flat, so has Bessonne. I understand that It is difficult for both club and player to organise accomodation as most rented flats need a 6 month signed tenancy agreement.

Wonder if someone on here should ask the club if he could be put up with them, I know Large has a spare room..............

    .
  • Whether he's having problems finding somewhere to stay or not, i'm surprised that on a saturday night after a win he was back in his room watching Take me out. Don't any of the other players go out? Surely someone can invite him out for the night.
  • [cite]Posted By: uncle[/cite]Just hope he doesn't tweet anything again that the good people on here don't understand. Otherwise they'll all be demanding he gets sent back again.

    Agreed.

I have enjoyed being able to follow the musings of NE and those of other Charlton players (and other athletes of teams I support) on twitter. It is far more interesting format to get some insight into the mindset of a player than the opaque lens of some sports commentator or writer. Yet, everything seems to be over-analyzed -- with the 140 characters being the basis for some ridiculous criticism or questioning. Very strange.

What IS that about? He talks about going to Nando's all alone. Surely Waggy or Jacko could take him out, they're all around the same age.
I mean, in the least take the lad to the Greenwich Wetherspoons!

Welcome to CL - you're obviously going to fit right in.....
  • I think the problem is most of the younger first team are under the thumb, Robbie, Waggy etc and most of the slightly older group have newly born children, Jacko and Francis so maybe there is no nightlife for CAFC!

Whats with the 'going to Nando's on my own' thing and 'not going clubbing and staying in hotel room'. What is the world coming to? Kids of his age should be out on the p!ss and taking loads of drugs, with that attitude he'll never make it as a pro footballer in the modern game!!

I didn't fight 2 World Wars yer knaas!

Jackson is 29, lives in Hertfordshire somewhere, and is a huge indie kid, really don't think he'd have much in common with Nathen, thought he'd hang out more with BWP, or Reidy?

Maybe part of Liverpool's thinking of getting him out on loan a far way away from home (Manchester) is to help him develop a bit as a person.

Remember Robbie saying that going to Accrington on loan was the first time he's lived on his own and had to do his own washing etc and it helped him grow up a little.

So rather than having digs to live in, his own flat is what his parent club want him to have. Since he is most likely on north of £10k pw the cost of a flat in Bexley borough or out in Kent handy for Sparrows Lane can't be too much for him.

I just mean that they are all on the same team.
Surely it would be a good thing for them to spend time together outside of training and playing.
I dunno, maybe he just hates life.

You cant really get a flat for less than six months tho? Thats why I thought the club brought those places in New Eltham - to put in new players until they got settled. Were they just rented flats when we had money - did they get let go?

The only solution i can think of is a serviced apartment and there's not many of them in New Eltham. Docklands would be the nearest.

JJ and Graham Stewart used to live in Docklands

Not sure that it's got a Nando's though, that said there's distractions a plenty for a young man about town to be had there.

West India Quay on a Friday night is the devil's playground.

and if Liverpool want him to grow up, driving through the Blackwall twice a day will deliver.
