Last player to give an interview like that was a certain Pawel Abbott...
  • Great attitude, we should get right behind blokes like him.

Nice interview and a great guy, but we have heard this before. Also liked his piece in the programme on Sat.

Can't fault his performance on Sat, nor the attitude he clearly shows off the pitch aswell as on it. But, lets wait 5/6 games first before any talk of new contracts.

Remember Cardinal Sin saying when he was dropped last season he saw him spend hours on his day off running round Greenwich. Seems to have a great attitude.

A great player to have in deep reserve - say third/fourth choice, but not as a starter. I love his attitude and commitment, but as a regular starter he makes too many basic errors. In the nicest possible way it's time for him to move on.

His attitude on Saturday single handedly dragged us back into the game. He cost us 1 goal at Exeter and everyone said he was useless. Give the guy a chance, he is better than Doherty and at the moment is also running Christian close as well

Maybe he is worth keeping around for the role as you described? Seems like an alright option to have in such circumstances, especially at this level.

Long overdue to have a change at CB....Doherty isnt the player he was at Norwich. Cant fault Llera' attitude, I dont think he is anymore error prone than anyone else in the side and he has a sweet left foot too

Problem is, Llera is out of contract and Doherty isn't.

Make that one work and I'd be happy to see it happen!

But who the hell is going to take Doherty's wages based on this season's outings? Sure as hell won't be anyone half decent in this league so why would he not see out his contract?

No such thing as a League 1 player who doesn't make mistakes. If creativity isn't going to come from the midfield it might as well come from Llera. That says more about the midfield than big Mig.

Would like to see him play with a fast partner - he does have qualities - scores goals- committment - passing - I like players who wnat the ball and get involved.
  • When a player demonstrates a terrific fighting spirit, such as Johnny Robinson or Brownie or Kins, it permeates throughout the team. It was very evident in the home game against Swindon last season when we fought back with nine men thanks to Llera's never say die attitude.
