  • If we keep up our injury/suspension/poor performance crusade I don't think it can be long before the likes of Perkins, Stavrinou, Harriot and Mambo join Jenkinson and Solly in the first team picture

Have you ever seen him play? I have about 25 times and he is not good enough. There is an element of straw clutching on this forum.

dickplumb, of those youngsters that you have seen play, which of them would you say are the best prospects?

Why ? Does he need to hire a rotovator ?

The senior strikers we've got will score goals if we create chances for them. I haven't seen Perkins play but I don't think he would be the answer to our current predicament.

Any young player who isn't playing is always the answer- as is any player you transfer in. The logic is flawed unfortuantely.

Bradley Jordan(skilful centre midfield), Conor Morris(fast and skilful right back has also played in midfield), Diego Poyet( good tackler, leader with decent distribution, has only played occasionally for U18s),Harry Osborne(Aggressive centre half good marker and decent in the air for not a big man), Callum Harriott(direct skilful winger who can beat his man, also has a good shot),Jordan Cousins(can play in a number of positions and a star of the future), Tosan Popo(eye for a goal, movement good ).

Players that have dissappointed in last few games, Freddie Warren(thought he would be a shoe in as a defensive midfielder for the first team). Azeez( has got a lot of ability but he doesnt hold the ball as well as he should. got tons of pace but could use it better.

Any of them ready for a first team appearance or are they all a couple of years or more away?

Sounds like the future may be better for us but we can't rush it. At least it looks like there will be a club for when these players are ready to shine for us.

I reckon they will be ready in a year/year and a half.

What you think of Mambo Dick? - I have seen him a few times and really thought he was the real deal - Of course he will make the odd mistake but a run of league games - probably on loan to a league 2 club or lower league 1 is surely needed - I think we could regret it if we let him go at the end of the season. Maybe when we reach a point where Powell has to admit we can't make the play offs - he could be given a run with us.

I reckon if Mambo was anywhere near good enough he'd have been given a chance by now.

Morris and Osborne look really good to me. Really love this pair. Osborne especially reminds me of Des Walker.
Harriott could be awesome but needs to be more team orientated imo
Cousins is pretty special I think.
Popo hasn't really done much in the games I've seen but seems to be in the right place at the right time - not a bad trait

Looked a similar level to Perkins and Tuna to me - will score goals at u18 level but not sure if any of them will make it in the first team.

Going to be interesting to see which 2nd years win pro deals, it's usually announced before the end of the season.

if our youth team is so good why havent they won this year?

Look i'm not being negative, I think there's a few that may play league football, and the way we are playin that could well be with us but lets not kid ourselves and pin our hopes on a crop of youngsters, if 1 each yr makes it into outr first team and becomes a regular then great but lets not put them up on massive pedastalls, our fans will only knock erm down and belittle them

Who makes it might just be down to who gets the opportunity.

Had we had one or two more wingers last year Wagstaff wouldn't have got as many chances as he did.

If Bessone hadn't got injured Jenkinson might have not got a run of games.

Solly has been injured for much of this season, and when Richardson was out last season he also got injured.

Of course they have to be good enough first to get games when other players aren't available. I think we have a few who could make it if things work out for them and they get a run of games at the right time.
