Not sure I can agree with any of that. I don't think we did play some good football last season under PP or at least no more than what would be expected and no more than any other teams did at times.

Yes promotion was PP s remit for this season but what would you expect it to be ? As for playing good football not being important then I think that is ridiculous. No sustained success or progress can be made without that being a priority. Ask Chris Powell how he views that, no team as far as I am aware has ever achieved sustained and that is the crucial word without an ethos of playing good football.
Fair enough, I wasn't suggesting it was any more than expected, but we still played some good football at times.

Parky clearly adjusted our style slightly for this season with lesser quality players we had.

Back in August we needed promotion for the club to survive, so yes good football was not important. It was all about results.

I don't see how that is ridiculous at all. Parky could only build a squad to compete for promotion, not one for the long term to be at least comfortable in the division above.

Of course it's very different now, the new board appear to have the money to plan for the long term. The old board could only plan for this season.

Fair point but his one season only enforced planning still didn't preclude himmtrying to play good football. I saw any number of teams this season and last outplay us with not necessarily any more quality players. It only my opinion but I think the style or precisely complete lack of it that hugely contributed to his downfall. Fans would be more accepting if they see things on the pitch trying to be done correctly. PP lost the fans with his brand of football.
