Pretty impressive as well. One of my Sunday team players works for Apple, they are opening up on the industrial park in June in the empty unit next to Sports Direct and the other sports one. He is being transferred as he successfully won the position to store manage, he's well chuffed as he lives in Blackheath. Anyway, yesterday he had a meeting with Apple's UK management and STeve Kavanah, and for the 11/12 season, all CAFC CT holders will be offered a 50% discount on all Apple products from the Charlton store for their first 3 months from opening.

Ipad here I come !

  • Are you sure it's a 50% unlimited discount?

I only query it as at those prices I could probably buy 100 iPads and sell them on eBay and make a fortune.

1st april Folev, you don't believe me,fair enough. Not exactly much of a wind up though, is it ? I'll find out more when I see him Sunday, that's if the club don't announce it beforehand.

Don't know if it is true or not but all the PCs at the Valley have been replaced with Macs over the past fortnight.

Was there for a Target 40k meeting Wednesday night to decide on the new ST prices and all the staff have Mac and Airman Brown and Steve Kavanagh now have a iphone4 which they can't figure out how to use.

Either what AFKA says is true or our new owners have an interest in Apple. Is the owner of Apple very rich?

    Good 'Aprils'....... Re the wealth......

Consequently Jobs ( Apple's co) became Disney's largest individual shareholder, with a personnal fortune of 8.3 billion!..... mind you small change to Paul Allen with a personnal wealth of £13 billion, but more impressive than that has also funded the purchase of many Jimi Hendrix artifacts, including the guitar Hendrix played at Woodstock, and ensured their public display in the Experience Music Project exhibits, which of course is beyond any possible financial valuation!.

So Ken, you've heard Steve Jobs and Paul Allen are two of the mystery owners as well.

    Confirms what I was told.

As soon as I saw the location I decided this was an April Fool's joke. Bluewater, Bullring, Trafford Centre, Liverpool ONE, Brent Cross, Westfield White City, Regent Street, Covent Garden, Charlton retail park

Doesn't really fit does it? If you had said Bexleyheath town centre or Bromley, or even in the o2, I might have believed you!

    Do you really think so?

Now you've said it I suddenly realise it must have been an April Fools joke all along.

Hmmmm, now you have said that, with the dreaded smilie, I think there could be a double bluff going on here from the clique, to ensure they all get iPad 2's on the cheap. Looks like I will have to phone up Jobs about this one......
