Paolo di canio offered coaching role?

Just saw an inteview with paolo di canio on ssn. Said he was offered a coaching job 2 months ago from a team lower then the championship. Was considering the role but decided to wait for a team higher up the leagues. Does anyone out there know if it was us as i have a suspicion that we were the team...

    I heard last Sat that he was interviewed for the Newport County job and was very keen.

    If it was, I would suspect it was more to do with coaching rather than managing than the level - I know for a fact that he applied for the Brentford manager's job when they sacked Andy Scott a few weeks ago so he's clearly not scared to start at the bottom.
